Tracking systems for high-end live performance.

We design, integrate, operate, and consult on the systems that follow performers and move scenery — across Broadway, touring, film, and live events.

A specialist practice for tracking and motion systems.

Performer tracking
System design, on-site programming, run-of-show.
Show data & protocol bridging
Translating between automation, tracking, and the rest of the rig.
Show network design
Spec, build, and commission the network underneath everything.
Production consulting & pre-pro
Vendor selection, RFPs, capability assessments, post-mortems.
Tour prep & production rehearsals
Building the show out of town, then making it survive the road.

We work across the tracking ecosystem. Every system has strengths.

Automated Performer Tracking
Zactrack · Follow-Me Track-iT · BlackTrax + more
Systems that track performers in 3D space and drive lighting, video, and audio automatically.
Automation-Derived Position Data
TAIT Navigator · Stage Technologies / Foy / STS / Kinesys / Spikemark
When scenery or performers move on automation, the position data already exists. The work is getting it out.
Translation & Integration Platforms
TAIT LightStrike · Stage Precision (SP / SP Grid)
How a show with two or three tracking inputs becomes one coherent lighting workflow.
Assisted Followspot — Camera-Based
PRG GroundControl · PRG GroundControl Multi · Robe RoboSpot + more
Camera-based remote followspot systems. The operator stays on the ground; the fixture is in the air.
Assisted Followspot — Sensor-Based
Robert Juliat SpotMe
A different approach to operator-driven tracking — no cameras, no markers.
Networking
Netgear AV Line · Ubiquiti · Luminex + more
The show network underneath everything else.
All systems we work with

How we work.

Tracking sits at the intersection of disciplines that don’t usually share a vocabulary — lighting, automation, video, network, performers. We translate fluently across all of them.

Founded by Harrison Freni — Broadway lighting programmer and integration specialist. Credits include The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, All Out, The Great Qin, and Millions.

Guest lecturer at Rutgers Mason Gross. LDI panelist on performer tracking and assisted followspot.

Vendor-agnostic, always. We don’t take vendor commissions. We pick the right system for the show.
Pre-production matters. The best tracking integration is decided before the gear ships. We push to be in early.
Documentation is part of the deliverable. A system that works on opening night but can’t be maintained through run isn’t finished.
The operator is part of the system. For high-stakes cues, the human in the loop is a feature, not a problem to engineer around.
